Rita's Bright Beginning
Rita’s Bright Beginnings was founded in 2014 by a 25-year-old mother with a dream—to create a loving, faith-filled space where children could grow, thrive, and feel at home. What began in a two-bedroom apartment in Harrisonburg, VA, quickly became a trusted haven for working families.
Over the years, Rita cared for children across several home-based locations, led in a local daycare center, and eventually returned to her calling in Charlottesville. By 2019, she was operating a licensed family day home, and soon after opened her first center-based facility at Fashion Square Mall—filled to capacity before opening day.
Today, Rita’s Bright Beginnings has grown into a 5,000 sq. ft. center with room for 100 children and a 3,000 sq. ft. outdoor play area. Rooted in faith and built with heart, we remain dedicated to nurturing each child and supporting every family we serve.
